COMFREY

Back To Bone, Hoof, Joint & Muscles

COMFREY (Knitbone) (Symphytum officinale) (Boraginaceae)

Comfrey's ability to promote the healing of bruises, sprains, fractures and broken bones has been known for thousands of years.  It encourages ligaments and bones to knit together firmly.  A compress of comfrey applied to a sprained ankle can reduce severity of injury considerably.

Feeding: 40 to 50 grams daily for a 500kg (16.2hh) horse divided into 2 feeds about 12 hours apart. 1.5kg will last a 500kg horse about 25 days.
