BANITCH

Back To Skin Care and Itchiness

BANITCH is the registered name of Pegasus Health for AnbioFlam (TeeBurb TBR) from Indian Herbs International

An Ayurvedic Herbal Formula for the treatment of dermatological conditions in animals which manifest themselves in many ways such as wounds, fissures, sores, galls, sinuses & fistulae, ulcers, boils, mange, sweet itch, fungal infections, pyoderma and other non-specific pathology.  Many agents are or have been  used to treat these conditions and many are toxic to a greater or lesser extent. The use of antibiotics over long periods may lead to hypersensitivity and their use in young animals may also be contra-indicated. Therapeutic efficacy is often achieved but symptomatic relief is rarely afforded.  Herbal formulae prepared from plant sources provide an alternative therapy in this area and research has shown that they are very effective and without toxic side-effects.  Copies of the relevant research papers may be obtained by contacting Pegasus Health on 01279 871033 or info@pegasushealth.com

Main herbs used in the formula: Berberis aristata, Curcuma longa, Cedrus deodara, Pinus griffithi, Piper longum, Piper nigrum, Zingiber officionalis, Psoralea corylifolia. Some of the herbs have a natural anti-inflammatory effect and others exude a strong smell through the skin which winged pests hate, having the advantage of covering every area of the body. Store in a cool dry dark place with lid on.

Directions for use: 5g per 100kg bodyweight daily divided between 2 feeds about 12 hours apart. A higher rate may be used in more severe cases and if the animal will take it. 1kg will last an average 500kg, 16.2hh  horse about 40 days.  The use of other agents such as molasses and/or a sandwich to improve palatability is recommended and the formula should be introduced very gradually building to the optimum amount over 5 or 6 days to accustom horse to taste.
