Ulcer Calm has been formulated to help support a healthy gastric environment for those horses and ponies at risk of ulcers. Ulcer Calm contains ingredients to reduce stomach acidity especially useful for those on a high concentrate diet, frequently stabled, in regular training and exercise, showing signs of anxiety, or with frequent changes to routine.

A horse’s stomach continuously produces gastric acid and if they are grazing, the saliva produced helps to buffer this acid and protect the stomach. Feeding grain diets or high concentrate diets can lead to gastric discomfort as these low fibre feeds are chewed faster than forages such as hay and grass, so less saliva is mixed with the food. These foods also leave the stomach faster. Both lead to increased exposure of the stomach lining to gastric acid, which can cause problems.

Feed Feedmark Ulcer Calm:

• To those prone to showing signs of stress
• Those on a high concentrate or low fibre diet
• Horses and ponies with reduced turnout due to training or lack of pasture
• Those frequently travelling or stabling away from home
• To help maintain a healthy gastric environment for those previously treated for gastric ulcers by their vet

Calcium carbonate, Aluminium hydroxide, Di-calcium phosphate, Wheatfeed, Meadowsweet, Liquorice root powder, Apple pectin, Soy lecithin, Glutamine.

Feed with each meal up to a maximum of three times a day.

Feedmark Ulcer Calm is safe to add to your horse’s current ration continuously and alongside regular feed and any other Feedmark horse supplements.
