Pegasus Health FriskyMare is a natural and soothing horse calmer particularly recommended for mares you think are ‘hormonal’ during the breeding season.

It helps to maintain balance in the reproductive system, but should not be fed to mares who are already pregnant or who may be about to conceive.

For particularly moody mares FriskyMare can be taken along with Pegasus Health Magcalm - a magnesium-based anti-stress horse calmer - for the best results.
 FriskyMare also works as an anti-parasitic, a diuretic, and it aids digestion by relieving flatulence.

Pegasus Health FriskyMare contains 100% Emblica officinalis - a large Ayurvedic shrub which naturally grows in places like India and the Himalayas.



Embelia ribes is also known as False Black Pepper or White-flowered Embelia.



The berries, leaves and the root-bark of the Embelia ribes plant are all used in herbal medicine but it is the berries - which look similar to peppercorns - which are the main part used in preparation of herbal supplements like FriskyMare.



Pegasus Health FriskyMare is particularly useful when owners worry about the oestrus cycle. Supplementing with FriskyMare is particularly appropriate when owners find it difficult to cope with behavioural changes.



When mares come into season in spring or summer they may display a range of symptoms associated with their hormonal changes. They may be far more awkward and difficult than usual. They may react in a frisky way, be bad-tempered or distracted, dull and unresponsive or domineering and aggressive. Other symptoms that may occur during the 21-day season include frequent urination, squealing, spreading the legs and crouching.



FriskyMare is a great way of restoring calmness and comfort  and helping your moody mare return to its normal patterns of behaviour and personality. Some owners have found that supplementing FriskyMare during the winter is also beneficial – and as it is suitable for long-term use (providing your mare is not pregnant or trying to conceive) there are no dangers associated with continuing supplementation to achieve year-round calmness.



Pegasus Health FriskyMare MAY have a contraceptive effect and that is why it should not be used on pregnant mares or those due to conceive.
