What is Vetrofen for horses and how is it given?
A fine powder, administered orally and mixed with feed.

How soon will your horse feel an effect from Vetrofen® with knocks and bumps (24 hour / 7 day course)?
It varies depending on your horses state, individual differences in metabolising ingredients, and if they have recently stopped having other products prior to taking Vetrofen®. We find Vetrofen® to have a noticeable effect within 3 hours but most effective after 6–12 hours. 

For 7 day course you can increase the loading strength of Vetrofen® to help horses feel an effect sooner, for this use Vetrofen® Instant Impact 24 hour Booster Pack during the first 24 hours.

How soon will your horse feel an effect from Vetrofen ® with poor mobility or old age (21/90/180 care packs)?
In the field, professionals and veterinarians have found that horses with poor mobility and or mild to moderate issues feel an effect of Vetrofen® in 4-5 days after taking it, while others may feel an effect in 5-10 days or longer.

What about side-effects? - NO SIDE EFFECTS!

Should Vetrofen for horses be taken with NSAIDs such as Bute or other Phenylbutazone type products?
No. This could lead to side-effects and also reduce the effectiveness of Vetrofen®.

Vetrofen for horses is a proprietary blend of natural plants called Scutellaria baicalensis and Acacia catechu. These plants have been used in foods and health products for thousands of years in other countries, especially in Japan and China.

The two key ingredients, in Vetrofen® have been studied extensively around the world and are recognised for their strong antioxidant properties to assist the body's inflammatory responses naturally, as well as their exceptional safety profile.

Vetrofen®’s ingredients have achieved GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) status, a strict food safety standard set by the FDA. The two key ingredients in general are the healthful ingredients that give colour to vegetables, fruits, cocoa, red wine and green tea.

However, a simple change in diet would not provide enough of them needed to manage the metabolic processes of knocks, bumps and joint mobility / joint comfort / joint stiffness conditions.

In practical terms, a human with poor joint mobility would need to consume 1.2 to 2kg of fruit and vegetables daily in order to obtain the high-concentration levels of the two key ingredients in the body that the product provides.

For fast results or for those in need use a loading serving of Vetrofen® to start.

For an average weight horse (450kg), ideally use two sachets in the morning and two sachets in the evening until desired effect reached (normally 3–5 days or up to 10 days in problematic conditions).

You then reduce serving to Maintenance PLUS, then Maintenance level.
