Equistro® ELYTAAN is a readily available liquid electrolyte formulation. Its composition is adapted to stimulate drinking and partially compensate for NaCl losses. Rich in vitamins (notably vitamin B3 and vitamin B5), trace elements and amino acids (lysine and DL-methionine), EQUISTRO® ELYTAAN provides maximal nutritional support where there is a high metababolic demand and can be used to provide reserves when fluid and electrolyte losses are anticipated.
Dietetic complementary feeding stuff for horses: ELYTAAN can be administered daily for a regular supply of electrolytes, vitamins and amino acids which support metabolism.
- prior to periods of exertion or to replace them following exertion
- during convalescence
- between competitions or directly after a competition
- as a primary support to broodmares after foaling
- prior to transport or a physical effort
ELYTAAN can be given directly into the horse’s mouth allowing administration even when the horse is not thirsty or if they can not swallow large quantities of fluid (e.g. prior to a competition). Due to presence of trace elements with maximum set limits, must not exceed 800 ml per 500 kg horse per day.
Alternatively, add to food or water. Administer for 1 - 3 days
Water should be available at all times.
Standard sized horses (500 kg): 20 - 40 ml per day
Foals/ponies: 10 - 20 ml per day
It is recommended that a specialist‘s opinion be sought before extending the period of use.
