Each hoof poultice contains:
- Tragacanth 1.12 g
- Boric acid 0.39 g
A 100% natural veterinary approved poultice for use on minor wounds and abrasions of the foot.
The NaturalintX Hoof Poultice has been designed to comfortably fit your horse's hoof, reducing preparation time and enabling ease of application.
May be applied in three different ways depending on the wound to be dressed, either apply as a hot, cold or dry hoof poultice and hold in place with a NaturalintX Wrap.
Hot hoof poultice:
Place the hoof poultice in boiled water, that has been allowed to cool to hand hot temperature. Once saturated, remove the dressing and gently squeeze out excess water. Place the poultice on the affected area with the plastic backing away from the skin. Hold in place with a NaturalintX Wrap.
Cold hoof poultice:
Soak the hoof poultice in cold boiled water before applying to the affected area. The hoof poultice can also be chilled further, by placing it in its outer plastic bag in a refrigerator.
Dry hoof poultice:
Simply apply the hoof poultice directly to the affected hoof. Ensure the hoof poultice is applied with the plastic away from the skin before holding in place with the NaturalintX Wrap.
Clean the area thoroughly before the application of NaturalintX Hoof Poultice. Clean hands thoroughly before and after application. Do not apply the NaturalintX Wrap or bandage too tightly, as circulation can be severely restricted. NAF NaturalintX Hoof Poultice (veterinary approved) should be renewed at least every 12 hours and should not be used in conjunction with any medical preparations unless advised otherwise by a veterinary surgeon. Prior to applying the hoof poultice to your horse, ensure that the temperature is suitable on your own skin. Both extremes of hot and cold can be dangerous to your horse.
